Universal Pre-Kindergarten Registration

Vestal Central School District offers a half-day free pre-kindergarten program, contingent upon grant funding from New York State, at two third-party sites. Transportation is not provided.
When enrollment exceeds the number of seats funded by New York State, a lottery is held for residents of children eligible in the Vestal Central School District. However, any children living in temporary housing in the District who will be four years old by December 1 of the year enrollment is anticipated will be given a seat in this program.

For more information on Vestal’s Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program and the sites housing it for the upcoming school year, please contact Coordinator of Instruction Dodie Ainslie at 607-757-2291 or djainslie@vestal.k12.ny.us.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registrations moved to Central Registration beginning mid-February 2017.

This year, registration for children entering Kindergarten during the 2017-18 school year took place February 27 - March 31, 2017, in the district office, 201 Main Street, Vestal. Children eligible to start Kindergarten are those who will turn five years old on or before December 1, 2017. Kindergarten registration letters were mailed the first week of February 2017.

You will need to call 607-757-3500 to schedule an appointment to register your child for Kindergarten. If you have not received a Kindergarten registration letter, and you have a child who will turn five by December 1, 2017, then you are welcome to call 757-3500 to set up a time to register your child as soon as possible.

If you have missed registration or are a new family moving into the District, please contact the Vestal Central School District Administration Office at 607-757-3500 to set up an appointment to register your child(ren).
