| Sat. February 11 | Dollars for Scholars - Phone-a-thon On Saturday, February 11, Sunday, February 12, and Thursday, February 16, over 50 Vestal students will help raise money for scholarships by making calls at the 15th annual Vestal Dollars for Scholars Phone-A-Thon. The students will make calls from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Students who volunteer will earn points that can be applied when they submit applications for Dollars for Scholars scholarships in their senior year. All Dollars for Scholars scholarship applications are evaluated based on the points system. March 11 | SOS Shelter and YWCA Mardi Gras "Bid Your Heart" Auction Date: Saturday, March 11, 2006 Where: Endwell Greens Golf Club, Time: 6 PM – 10 PM (preview at 5:30pm) Tickets: $25.00 pp, in advance, $30.00 at the door Join us for a Mardi Gras theme party. Cash Bar available! Ticket price includes: Admission, food and wine tasting provided by area vendors and music by “String of Pearls”. Bid on a variety of items donated by many businesses. Give back to our community, have fun and take home some wonderful bargains! Auction proceeds assist the YWCA and SOS Shelter in their continued support of programs and services for women, girls, and families. Services include emergency shelter, breast and cervical cancer awareness, advocacy for victims of domestic violence and educational programs for the community. Checks are payable to the SOS Shelter, PO Box 393, Endicott, NY 13760 or the YWCA, 80 Hawley Street, Binghamton, NY 13901. | Sat. March 25 | The VSF is also hosting its first annual Luncheon and Spring Fashion Show. The event will be held on March 25th at the new Traditions at the Glen Resort and Conference Center in Johnson City. Several Vestal clothing retailers will provide the spring fashions which will be modeled by our own Vestal students! For ticket information, please contact Geri Sears at 786-2402. |
| Friday, March 31 | Vestal Voices "Rock for the Beach" fundraiser featuring Jared Campbell Date: Friday, March 31, 2006 Where: Osterhout Concert Theatre in the Anderson Center at Binghamton University Time: 7:00 p.m. Tickets: $4 for students and senior citizens, $5 for everyone else Vestal Voices will be holding a Rock for the Beach fundraiser concert on March 31, 2006 at 7:00 PM. This concert will help to pay for their competition trip to Virginia Beach in April. It will take place at the Osterhout Concert Theatre in the Anderson Center at Binghamton University. The concert will feature Vestal Voices, Jared Campbell, and a variety of acts performed by Vestal Voices members. Admission is $4.00 for students and senior citizens, and $5.00 for everyone else.
