Course Requirements

Six IB, AP, Honors courses, Grades
10-12.

Complete exams in each course.

Note: IB exams are open to Juniors & Seniors only.

Six IB Courses,
(3 or 4 at higher
level & remainder
at standard level). 

Grades 11 & 12

Complete exams in each course.

Six IB, AP, Honors courses, Grades 10-12.

Students are not required to take exams in these subjects, just
need to receive
a passing grade.

Students receive one credit for each course completed, regardless of whether the course is one or two years in length.**

Distribution Requirements

Any five subject groups: English, Second Language, Social Studies, Science,Mathematics, Arts & Electives.

Six subject groups:English, Second Language, Individuals & Societies, Science, Mathematics,
Arts & Electives.

Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Requirements

Two semesters over junior & senior years.

Two semesters over junior & senior years.

Not required. However, may be completed as one of the six required courses, but both semesters must be completed for Scholar Cert.credit.

Project/Extended Essay

Complete an Independent Project and Oral Presentation.

Complete 4000 word extended essay based on original research.

Not required.

Creativity, Action, Service

Complete 150 hours
of extracurricular activities distributed across the arts, sports, volunteer services, Grades
11 & 12.

**For example, IB Math HL counts as one course for the Scholar Certificate,
