Two Vestal Central School District Odyssey of the Mind teams and their coaches qualified for the World Finals May 23 - 26 at Iowa State University.

The Vestal High School "Mockumentary Seriously" team of Cathy Deskur, Teresa Deskur, Dora Donacik, Theo Donacik, Marina Jiao, Tina Zheng and Jack Zhou tied for third place overall in Division 3, Problem 3, of the World Finals, out of a total of 62 teams. However, they were awarded first place in Spontaneous Performance!
The African Road Elementary School "Triathalon Travels" team of Hridayanshu Das, Clark Donacik, Benjamin Elie, Eva Metritikas, Yukti Punjabi, Xenia Smith and Hannah Smyk tied for 12th place overall in Division 1, Problem 1, out of 56 teams competing in the World Finals! They were coached by Pritam Das, Jeff Donacik and Claude Elie.
Congratulations to all of these students, their coaches and their families for the time investment and hard work they have committed to this year's Odyssey of the Mind competitions!
