The Vestal Central School District
has established the last day of student attendance for the 2017-18 school year. The
following dates for secondary and elementary students are assuming that there are no emergency
closings between now and the end of the year.
For Vestal High School, the
last day of pupil attendance for students in grades 9 - 12 is Monday, June 11. Regents’ examinations will be administered Tuesday, June 12, through Thursday, June 21, with Friday, June 22, being the rating day.
The last day of pupil attendance for students in grades K - 5 will be Wednesday, June 20, which is a full day of attendance. The last day of school for students in grades 6 – 8 at Vestal Middle School will be Thursday, June 21, which is a full day of attendance. These dates are determined based on New York State Education Department’s attendance guidelines.
Looking ahead, opening day for the 2018-19 school year is
anticipated to be Wednesday, September 5, 2018.
