Sweet and savory flavors from all around the world mingled in a culinary bouquet on the plates of guests at the Festival of Cultures on November 24.
Students and their families from Chinese, French, German, Spanish and SADD clubs came together to celebrate the foods and cultures of countries from around the globe. German students dressed in traditional lederhosen and dirndl explained the history of these garments and then presented a festive dance.
Chinese Club presented a slideshow on dumplings while the French Club staged a fashion show highlighting the French influence on popular couture. The Spanish Club ended the evening's entertainment with an exhibition of salsa dancing.
Delicious foods from around the world were served, including aluko achar, biryani, cardamon bread, flan, guacamole, halushki, holupki, Irish soda bread, naan, pakora, pierogi, quiche, samosas, schweinerbraten, spaetzle, su shi, Swedish rice pudding, tabouli and more.
