The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for you and your students to learn about the high school academic and extracurricular programs. As you may know, middle school counselors began working with your student to identify courses for ninth-grade schedules for 2019-20.
During the orientation program, high school staff will introduce parents and students to the broad range of opportunities at Vestal High School. Information will be provided regarding New York State graduation requirements and the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. It is not too early to consider the challenges that IB courses can offer your student in preparation for the rigors of college-level work.
We hope you will join us for this informative evening. Our program will run approximately one hour, with time at the end for self-guided building tours. Please note that teachers will not be present for the orientation program. If you have questions about specific courses, please contact a middle school counselor.
Eighth-grade student and their parents/guardians are cordially invited to attend an orientation program at Vestal High School at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, in the high school auditorium. (A snow date has been scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2019.)
