Vestal Golden Bear Sephton makes her college choice

Vestal Golden Bear Tracy Sephton, daughter of Joseph Sephton and Christy Everitt of Vestal, will join the East Stroudsburg Warriors in the Fall of 2018. She signed her letter of intent to play field hockey with the Division II PSSHE University. The signing ceremony took place at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, in the lobby of the Vestal High School

Winner of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association’s Sportsmanship Award, Tracy contributed to the Vestal Field Hockey team scoring a spot in the NYS Final Four since her freshman season. Two of those efforts led to the team becoming State finalists. The four-year varsity team member also served as captain during this, her senior year, and was crowned with the Vestal H.S. Athletic Department’s Sportsmanship Award. In addition, Tracy is a four-year varsity member of the Golden Bears’ outdoor track team. Dedicating her free time as a participant in the USFHA Futures Program and the Southern Tier Storm travel club team was also a major contributor to her skill development.

Academically, Tracy scores high as a four-year Honor Roll student and Scholar Athlete. Secretary of the high school’s Spanish Club, she plans to major in Exercise Science at East Stroudsburg University.

A member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, East Stroudsburg competes in the NCAA II division. The Field Hockey team ended the 2017 season 17-5.
