Amanda Fedor signs her letter of intent alongside friend, Cassidy Barrett.

Vestal Golden Bear Amanda Fedor, daughter of John and Cathy Fedor of Vestal, adopted the Carolina Blue when she signed her letter of intent to play lacrosse with the Division I University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The signing took place  on Thursday, November 16, a joint ceremony with Golden Bears’ softball player Cassidy Barrett.

Amanda is a powerhouse on the field, scoring 10 goals in one game – a Vestal High School record, and ranked in the top 80 seniors in the country by “Inside Lacrosse.” Crowned a U.S. Lacrosse All-American this year, she was the Golden Bears’ leading points’ scorer in her sophomore and junior years. Earning spots on the 2017 Under Armor All Tournament and the U.S. Lacrosse National Teams add to Amanda’s amazing resume. In addition to varsity lacrosse, which the Section IV All Star has played for four years, she has also been a member of the Varsity Girls Basketball team for three years.

Academically, Amanda scores high as a four-year Scholar Athlete recipient as well as a member of the National Honor Society. In the community she serves as a volunteer assistant for a Syracuse-based weekly lacrosse clinic. This ties into Amanda’s career plans to major in Exercise and Sports Science at UNC.
