Everyone is invited to a free Skype event with one of today's leading voices in the field of education, Diane Ravitch. She will be speaking about "What is Right about Public Education."
The Skype event will take place 5:30 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday March 4, at the Vestal High School. Dr. Ravitch was previously was a U.S. Assistant Secretary of Education under Presidents George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton. An educational policy analyst and the author of numerous books on public education, she is currently a research professor and historian of education at New York University's Steinhardt School of Culture.
The Skype event will begin with a 45-minute presentation by Dr. Ravitch and conclude with a question-and-answer period. We hope you'll come join the conversation about the good things happening in classrooms in our area and across the state.
