In follow-up to this week’s
previous communication, I would like to keep you updated with the progress at Tioga
Hills Elementary School. Subsequent air test results indicate that our cleaning
efforts have been effective and successful. Porous items with visible mold,
such as area rugs, cloth, and cardboard have been disposed of, and those
affected areas have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
As an additional action, the
District has partnered with ServPro for further cleaning and humidity control
in the building. This is being done primarily as a preventative measure. While
our custodial staff’s cleaning endeavors have been productive, working with
ServPro will provide additional manpower and equipment. Although all affected
areas have already been cleaned, a further deep cleaning and the use of
commercial-grade dehumidifiers will help to ensure that additional occurrences
are avoided.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your building principal.
