Jordan Favela, son of Brian and Lori Favela of Vestal, sign a letter of intent accepting a scholarship from Benedictine College. The signing took place on Thursday, March 30, in the Vestal High School lobby. The Vestal Golden Bear will head to Kansas after graduation; Benedictine College is home to the Division I Ravens.
Favela began his high school wrestling career at Klein High School in Texas, and has spent a total of four years as a varsity wrestler. His overall record is 125 – 43, with a Vestal High School record of 35 – 3. He was a STAC champion and second-place sectional winner in New York State, and a fourth Texas State Greco.
Favela is a member of the National Honor Society at Vestal High School, and he is active in his church youth group. At Benedictine College, he plans to study Education and History.
