The Vestal Central School District has utilized all six of the emergency closing days scheduled into its 2016-17 school calendar at this time. As a result, students in grades K - 12 should plan on being in class on Friday, May 26.
If the district incurs a seventh emergency closing day, the likely date for an additional day of instruction for students would be Friday, April 21.
If there are emergency closing days used beyond a seventh closing, the adjustments to the calendar would depend on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the total number of days closed and whether the closing occurs before or after the spring recess scheduled for April 17 - 21.
