2017-18 Universal Pre-Kindergarten Enrollment
Contingent upon the receipt of grant funding from New York State, Vestal Central School District plans to continue its Universal Pre-Kindergarten program for the 2017-18 school year. Applications are being accepted now for eligible children. The half-day pre-kindergarten program is free to residents of the Vestal Central School District, and children who turn four years old by December 1, 2017, are eligible. Transportation is not provided.
Sites for the 2017-18 Universal Pre-Kindergarten program are still being determined. Applicants will be notified of site options. The number of seats available in the program is determined by funding from New York State. In the event that the number of applications exceeds the program openings, a lottery will be held in March 2017.
Morning or afternoon class times are available at the two sites. When the site review process and lottery is complete, you will be contacted regarding your preference for class time and site location. Applicants who are not selected for their first choice will be given the option of choosing another site or being placed on a waiting list for their first choice. Please direct questions to Dodie Ainslie, the UPK Coordinator, at 607-757-2291 or firstname.lastname@example.orgAny children living in temporary housing in the Vestal School District who will be four years old by December 1, 2017, will be given a seat in this program.
