School Alliance for Continuous Improvement

What is SACI?

SACI is a network of school districts that work together to improve their educational delivery systems and the academic performance of their students. SACI provides a blueprint and support system, which follow a total quality approach based on six interdependent indicators:

The SACI Mission
The mission of SACI is to help school districts improve student performance. Teachers and administrators trained by SACI visit a member school (upon invitation) to evaluate one content area at a time using the established rubric. They are trained to systematically think about how key elements of each school and the school system work to produce higher student performance.

Background
SACI was established in 1997 by 11 NYS school districts in search of systematic ways to improve district performance. Today, there are 20 SACI member school districts. The program is conducted in cooperation with the Madison-Oneida BOCES.

Vestal is a charter member of SACI.
