Morning Program is a great way to start the day!

PHILOSOPHY

We believe that success in school is closely linked to a student’s positive self-concept. Therefore the team (students, staff and community members) effort of starting the school day together on a positive note will instill in each student positive feelings about school, self and others.

Morning Program will focus on academics, character education and recognition of individual talents and achievements. Our purpose is to instill positive attitudes through a variety of activities that will foster a sense of belonging to the school community.

GOALS

  1. Children in Morning Program will develop an understanding of and an investment in the Code of Conduct.
  2. Children in Morning Program will develop an understanding of and an investment in the character traits found in the Pyramid of Success.
  3. Children in Morning Program will use a common language in connection with the Pyramid of Success and the Code of Conduct throughout the building including the classroom.
  4. Children in Morning Program will be active participants, strengthening the connection between classrooms and the building community.
  5. Children in Morning Program will have academic content intertwined with the monthly themes, again strengthening the connection between classrooms and the building community.
