Emergency School Closings

When it is necessary to close the district because of severe weather or a building emergency, announcements will be made over radio/TV stations. This information will also be reflected in the red alert section above the masthead of the district’s website.

When schools are closed, all other events scheduled for that day will be canceled. No announcement will be made when school is operating normally.

If an emergency should arise when school is in session, students normally transported will be bused home, and walkers will be released at that time as well. Your child(ren) should be instructed in what to do if you are not home during the day.

School Messenger

The District uses the School Messenger system to notify parents and guardians of school closings, delayed openings or early dismissals. Contact information for the School Messenger system was derived from data information sheets returned to the main office of your child's school before the start of the new school year. If you have updates in your contact information, please notify the school's main office.
