Golden Bear softball teammates Kelsey Brady and Kymora Wang are Bona-Bound! Vestal Athletics hosted a joint signing for Brady and Wang on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in the Vestal High School lobby. They were joined by friends and family as they signed their national letters of intent accepting softball scholarships to Division I St. Bonaventure University.
Kelsey is the daughter of Jim and Jill Brady of Vestal. A four-year member of the Varsity Softball team, she helped bring the Golden Bears Regional and Section IV championships in 2022. Kelsey also played for the 18U Rock Gold travel team in her off time. Her on-base percentage is .240, with 15 hits and 10 runs scored.
A member of Vestal High School’s green and gold chapter of the National Honor Society, she is also a two-year Scholar Athlete and has received a Presidential Academic Award. Kelsey also spent time in the pool as a member of Vestal’s swimming and diving team.
Kymora is the daughter of Ian Wang and Cicely Hagin. With two years on the Varsity team, she also helped her team score 2022 Regional and Sectional championships. Kymora was selected as a 2022 STAC All-Conference All Star as an outfielder, as well as a third team All-State leftfielder. She has a .458 batting average, with 28 runs batted in and 27 runs scored.
Off the diamond, Kymora has been a member of the Yearbook Club and has attained the Honor Roll throughout her high school career. She will graduate with recognition of New York State Math Mastery.
As Bonnies, Kelsey plans to study Health Sciences and Kymora will major in Biology.
