School Bus Drivers in the Vestal Central School District had the tables turned as students at Glenwood Elementary tried to “pick up” their spirits with handmade “Thank You” cards and notes. First-graders in Kathleen Borgeson’s class started the campaign after their teacher told them about how extra hard the bus drivers, attendants and other Transportation employees were working the past few weeks.
So, her students made their cards on March 4 and 5, and she invited teachers throughout the school to have their students participate as well. Altogether, the school made over 110 cards and notes to tell the drivers and their helpers just how much they are appreciated!
All of the “Thank You's” were scheduled to be delivered to the Transportation Building the afternoon of Tuesday, March 9.
