Openings available in Universal Pre-Kindergarten program

Vestal Central School District has seats available in its Universal Pre-Kindergarten program for the 2022-23 school year, contingent upon the receipt of grant funding from New York State. Applications are being accepted for eligible children who will turn four years old by December 1, 2022. Eligible children must be Vestal Central School District residents and two proofs of residency will be required. Please be aware that transportation is not provided.

Registration is taking place online. Navigate to the District’s website and visit the Registering for Vestal’s Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program page at https://www.vestal.stier.org/RegisteringforVestalsUniversalPre-Kindergarten.aspx
On that page, you will see a button that says “Click here to register for Vestal Universal Pre-K with Family ID.” Or, you may go directly to https://www.familyid.com/organizations/vestal-central-school-district-2 and follow the instructions to register your eligible child.

The grant would allow for a limited number of Vestal UPK students to attend full-day or half-day programming. Vestal’s full day program runs 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Please be aware that the completion of application forms does not guarantee placement in the program.

New York State includes funding for UPK programs to “provide four-year-old children with a universal opportunity to access high quality pre-kindergarten programs that prepare them for future success by developing strong foundational skills in literacy and numeracy.”
