Update - Elementary Curriculum Nights

Dear Parents,

I am writing to inform you of a change in the plans for elementary curriculum night. The in-person Zoom presentations that were planned for this Wednesday evening will be recorded and made available the week of October 5th. This means that the September 30th Elementary Curriculum Night will not take place as planned.
As the region transitions to the use of Zoom video conferencing, we recognize that added security protocols are necessary to ensure the privacy and safety of our students, staff, and families. In a live video conference with a publicly shared link, our teachers would not be able to safely monitor or verify the identity of participants. To ensure greater safety and privacy, teachers will record their presentations and distribute them to you next week. These presentations will give you an overview of your student’s classroom – the routines and curriculum. Importantly, our principals and teachers remain committed to the daily and weekly communication that keeps you informed and connected on a regular basis.

We appreciate your understanding of this change as part of our growth in the use of instructional technology in safe and secure ways.
