Vestal High School students in the IB Program volunteered at CHOW and The Discovery Center on June 2, 2022. Traditionally, seniors in the program go into the community for a group service project after completing their individual CAS (Creative - Activity - Service) projects.
Students weeded and spread mulch at The Discovery Center while another group at the CHOW warehouse helped sort food donated as part of a recent U.S. Postal Service food drive in our area. A total of 43,000 pounds of food was collected during that drive!
"We haven't been able to accommodate what was an annual field trip for these group CAS efforts since 2019," said IB-Honors Facilitator Jeffrey Dunham. "We were eager to resume our partnership with both CHOW and The Discovery Center!"
