Golden Bear Athletes Kay Farro and Shannon Perlungher sign their NLOIs!

Two Vestal Golden Bear Softball teammates signed their national letters of intent in front of friends and family on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, in the Vestal High School gym.

Congratulations to Kay Farro, daughter of Dana and Shelly Farro of Vestal, who signed her letter of intent to play softball with the SUNY Oswego Lakers. Farro is a five-year member of the Varsity roster and a 2019 Section IV champion. She also played Varsity Field Hockey for three years and is on the Vestal High School Honor Roll, as well as a Scholar Athlete. Nominated by the American Legion for their Empire Girls State program, Kay served as president of Varsity Club and is a student fan-section leader.

We also applaud Shannon Perlungher, daughter of John Perlungher of Vestal and Michele McMullen, who will be signed her letter of intent to join the softball squad of the Mansfield University Mounties. Shannon has played Varsity softball with the Golden Bears for three years and has been on the Vestal High School Honor Roll since ninth grade. In the community, she is also a member of a travel softball team and a weight-training club. Shannon enjoys Art and works part-time at Kohls after school.

We wish all the best to Kay, who plans to major in Childhood Education at SUNY Oswego, and to Shannon, who will be studying Psychology at Mansfield University!
