Vestal School Foundation hosts 2019 Grant Awards Reception

Since 1994, Vestal School Foundation has awarded over 430 grants totaling $443,000 to Vestal Central School District teachers, staff, students and community residents for projects designed to benefit students in the District.
 
At this year's Grant Awards reception, which took place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 11 grants equaling $11,609 were dispersed. Congratulations to this year's Grant Award recipients:
  • Danette Berry, Katie Donlin, Kyle Rizzo and Rosanne Van Wie (Vestal High School) - Using Protein Gel Electrophoresis to Study Evolution 
  • Ryan Brembs, Sally Lowenstein, Caitlin Pointer and Chris Rockhill (Vestal High School) - Supporting STEM through Science Olympiad Competition 
  • Monika Fridrich (African Road Elementary) - Loose Parts Play
  • Taleah Graham (African Road Elementary ) - Broadening Instrument Playing with Ukuleles
  • Doreen McSain and Stephanie Mitsakos (Glenwood Elementary) - Who Goes First?
  • Barb Morgan (Glenwood Elementary) - Rube Goldberg Machine
  • Anne Marie Murphy and Catherine Willis (Tioga Hills and Vestal Hills Elementary) - Stretching Speaking & Writing Skills 
  • Gerri Painter (Vestal High School PTO) - Major Prize for VHS Chem-Free All-Nighter
  • Melissa Restuccia (Vestal High School PEACE CLub) - Happy Birthday, Dr. King and (Vestal High School Art Dept.) - Etching a Greener Footprint
  • Tracy Suggs (Vestal HIgh School Chemistry Dept. and Vestal Fourth-graders) - The Chemistry Magic Show
