A Vestal High School team takes first place at the Broome-Tioga BOCES Engineering Day challenge on October 25, 2018! Congratulations to the team of Catherine Deskur, Kaimana Lum, Jessica Luo and Maya McCollum.
The Engineering Day challenge is an annual event sponsored by the STEM Hub of the Southern Tier. This year's challenge, which students had to complete in two hours, was to build a device to transfer energy and, ultimately, land a ball in a cup. Eight teams from Vestal High and Middle Schools competed with over 90 teams from all over over the Southern Tier.
Thanks to the teachers who advised these students during the challenge: Mike Evans, Debra Ortloff, Tierney Quinn and Allison Weisel!
