District Council

The Vestal District Council serves to represent parent organizations and acts as a coordinating body to promote communications and cooperation among its member units.  The District Council also provides a channel of communications between Vestal Central School District parents, teachers, administrators, community and student.

Every year, the Vestal District Council hosts “Meet the Candidates” Night at Vestal Middle School the second Monday in May.  This event provides district parent groups with an opportunity to meet the Board of Education candidates in person and ask them questions.

The District Council also funds a scholarship through Dollars for Scholars to benefit a Vestal High School graduating senior who intends to pursue a degree in education.

The dinner, hosted by one parent group in the district on a rotating basis, is usually in June, the first Thursday following Academic Awards Night.
