Lady Golden Bears sign Division I Letters of Intent

Congratulations to NYS Championship Field Hockey Forward Kendall Brady and to First-Team All-Star Softball Short Stop Cat Petteys. They signed their National Letters of Intent to play at the Division I level in college on November 15, 2023, in a joint signing ceremony.
 
Kendall Brady is the daughter of Jill and Jim Brady of Vestal. She signed to play Field Hockey with the College of the Holy Cross Crusaders. A member of the two-time NYS Field Hockey championship team, Kendall was a 2023 USA Today “National Player of the Year” Finalist and two-year Varsity team captain. She helped her team score three Class B Section IV District Championships, three Class B Regional Championships, and three NYS All-Star First-Team, and All-Star Team berths. 
 
At Vestal, Kendall is also a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Club, and Varsity Club. She was a mentor in the Vestal High Student Mentor program and participates in the Athletic Mentoring Program for Recreational Field Hockey and Softball. A Scholar Athlete and four-year Varsity player, Kendall also played Varsity Softball with her co-signer, Cat Petteys.
 
Cat Petteys is the daughter of Jennifer and David Petteys of Vestal, and she signed with the Division I UConn Huskies to play softball. She has played Varsity Softball for two years and Varsity Field Hockey for one year. Cat helped her team achieve 2022 NYSPHAA Regional and Section IV Sectional Championships, 2022 STAC All-Division First Team All-Star and Class A All-State Second Team selections, as well as scoring as runners up in the 2022 NYSPHAA NYS Championship. 2023 brought more awards – 2023 All-State First Team, All-Conference, and First Team All-Star. 
 
In school, Cat is a Scholar Athlete and Honor-Roll student, receiving a Student Recognition Award in Spring 2023. And in the community, she plays on the Rock Gold 18u travel softball team and made the PFG Futures All-American Game Regional Watchlist.
 
Kendall plans to major in biology at the College of the Holy Cross. Cat will be studying Psychological Sciences at the University of Connecticut.
