2018 District Council Dinner

This year's Vestal District Council scholarship winner was Gina O'Sullivan. Anticipated to graduate with a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation, as well as the Vestal Scholar Certificate, Gina plans to attend Ithaca College in the fall. She will pursue a dual major in music education and vocal performance. Attending with her parents, Pam Grant and Tim O'Sullivan, Gina was lauded at the District Council Dinner on June 11, along with two Honorees from each school across the district.
 
- African Road Elementary PTA recognized School Bus Driver Bob Grannis and School Counselor Lucinda Steele.
- CAPTO recognized Head Custodian Frank Herzich and parent volunteer Amanda Alton.
- GSCA recognized therapy dog, Bodhi, and his owner Roxanne Shank along with parent volunteer Kevin Hogan.
- Tioga Hills PTA recognized Music Teacher Megan Burczynski and parent volunteer Melissa Jones.
- Vestal Hills PTA recognized Kindergarten Teacher Aide Cheryl Laibe and parent volunteer Ashley Stuccio.
- Vestal Middle School PTO recognized Band Teacher Denise Lacey-Corcoran and Reading Teacher Melissa Rosa.
- Vestal High School PTO recognized parent volunteer Laura Gialanella and Physics Teacher Peter Klimas.
- Vestal High School Student Government recognized Orchestra Teacher Marissa Crabb and Band Director Gregory Harris.
 
Congratulations to all of these Honorees and thank you for all you do for Vestal students! We wish Gina much success as she continues her education and follows the path to becoming an educator herself.
