Updated Mask Guidelines for Summer School Programs
In buildings where Summer Enrichment programs are taking place, specifically Tioga Hills Elementary and Vestal High School, students will no longer be required to wear a mask during summer-session classes. However, unvaccinated staff must wear a face covering at all times while indoors, according to the NYS Department of Health. A physical distance of three feet should continue to be maintained between students. In addition, the revised NYS guidelines state that unvaccinated children, which currently includes all students under 12, must still wear face coverings on school buses.

This information pertains to 2021 summer programs only, We are awaiting information from the NYS Department of Health regarding the 2021-22 school year, which we will communicate to you once received. The District will also continue to monitor county and regional statistics to make changes as necessary.
