Status of Planning - Moving K - 5 to Four Days/Week In-Person Instruction
The Vestal Central School District will have its first planning meeting to analyze data from the Elementary Parent Questionnaire on March 3. District personnel will look at these survey results as the first step in the formulation of a plan to move to four days/week in-person instruction for elementary students. We will continue to provide updates here and on Facebook going forward... Vestal Middle and High Schools will be sending out a similar survey to their families at a later date.
Updated Transportation Plan for March 2 - 5, 2021
Changes have been made to this week's school transportation plan. See the news article in the next column for more information. If you are new to the District with students in Vestal Middle/High Schools and do not know which Elementary-School region in which you live, you can access our Street Finder Tool for assistance. If you have any other questions, please contact your student's school.
District Procedure for 2020-21 Inclement Weather Days
For the 2020-21 school year, Vestal CSD will handle inclement weather (snow) days as they have been handled in prior years. Unless otherwise indicated, an inclement weather incident that would impact in-person student instruction and results in a school closure by the Superintendent will continue to be considered a non-attendance day, and there would be no student instruction.
In the event that the District has used all available school closing days, this procedure may be reconsidered.
USDS extends Free Breakfast & Lunch meals to all students until the end of the school year
If you have any questions, please contact Erin Polovchak, Vestal Food Service Supervisor, at 757-2201.
