Vestal Food Service to provide Free Breakfast & Lunch meals to all students until December 31, 2020

For complete information, please see the letter from our Rock On Cafe School Nutrition Services program. You will still need to fill out the Free & Reduced lunch application, which can be found by clicking the Rock on Cafe logo under our Find It Fast section on the bottom of this web page. Once on the Rock on Cafe web page, click Free & Reduced Information, and look on the right of the page for a link to the application.

School Reopening Public Information Meetings
 
The last of our Public Information sessions was held by Zoom on August 19. Visit our Reopening School web page for more information on these presentations, as well as information on our Reopening Plan, planning committees, Remote Learning, Testing and Contact Tracing plans.
 
Openings available in Vestal's Universal Pre-K Program
 
Applications are still being accepted for eligible children who are Vestal CSD residents and will turn four years old by December 1, 2020. This half-day pre-kindergarten program is free to eligible children, but please be aware that transportation is not provided. All Vestal Students Can Receive Free Breakfast and Lunch Meals
Until December 31, 2020, all Breakfast and Lunch will be free for all students both in school and while learning at home. We will still need families to fill out the application for Free and Reduced Meals. Click the "MORE" link for more information and to access the Free and Reduced Meal application.

Openings available in Universal Pre-Kindergarten program
Applications are still being accepted for Vestal CSD's Universal Pre-Kindergarten program, and seats are still available for the 2020-21 school year.
New York State of Health - Special Enrollment for Health Insurance Coverage
With the closure of many businesses across the state, many New Yorkers are at risk of losing their health insurance coverage as a result of COVID-19. Many are likely to be eligible for health insurance with financial assistance through New York State of Health due to loss of coverage/income, and a special enrollment period for people who are uninsured was opened last month.
Childcare Availability in Broome County
Please see a list of child care sites with availability in Broome County. Per New York State requirements, this listing will be updated as information is received from Broome County. In addition, there is a link to a parent need survey, and the results are shared with the Office of Family & Child Services.
