Tioga Hills honors Veterans

Tioga Hills hosted its annual Veterans Day ceremony on November 9. Students welcomed fathers, grandfathers, and more who served or are currently serving in the military.
The Veterans were escorted through the halls of the school by fifth-grade Cub Scouts as they were applauded by Tioga Hills students and staff.
Everyone gathered in the cafeteria where third-graders sang "Thank you, Soldiers," and Mr. Howell and Mr. Doolittle teamed up once again to perform "God Bless the USA" to a standing ovation!
Principal Hayley Crimmins asked the students to remember why they had a day off school on November 10, and that Veterans Day is meant to honor veterans who gave so much to protect us all.
Finally, Cub Scouts accompanied Mr. Doolittle out to the flag pole where Jerry Mattice had the honor of raising the flag.
From the Tioga Hills Community, Happy Veterans Day to all of our veterans who have served or are currently serving!
