Follow the yellow brick road to Vestal High School for the musical “The Wizard of Oz” February 23 - 26, 2023. Presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Tams-Witmark,* five performances with two lead casts are scheduled for 7 p.m. February 23 - 25 with matinees at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, February 25 and 26.
Director Austin Kiley, along with Assistant Directors Laura Preston and Quinn Singer, leads a cast of over 35 student performers and 25 crew. Conducting the orchestra is Amelia Wilson.
A talented dual cast tells the story of Dorothy and her little dog, Toto, who experiences thrilling adventures with her friends the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, and the Lion in her quest to get home to Auntie Em and Uncle Henry. As they seek the Emerald City and its Wizard, they learn that everything they needed was already inside them.
Madison Alton and Megan Howell share the role of “Dorothy,” while the role of “Toto” is portrayed by Gurleen Kaur and Katherine Klimachefsky. Alister Barber and Hannah Boone take turns playing “Scarecrow.” Harrison Coleman and Jordyn Goldberg alternate as the “Cowardly Lion.” The “Tin Man” is brought to life by Caden DellaPenta and Alexander Matt. Other leads include: Kara Dhakal and Sonia Horowitz are the “Wicked Witch,” Alex Jiao and Reina Wickman as “The Wizard of Oz,” Justin Colon and John Holleran are “Uncle Henry,” and “Aunt Em/Glinda” are portrayed by Alaina Domingo and Amber Gill.
Reserved tickets can be picked up at the “will call” table after payment is received.** Tickets will be available for purchase at the door one hour before each scheduled performance.
