Collecting accurate data regarding digital resource access for our students will greatly help educators to better serve their students and families. In order to accomplish this, the New York State Education Department is asking families to complete a Digital Equity survey for each student in the family in grades Kindergarten through twelfth... This survey will provide information on student access to devices and Internet access in their places of residence. At Vestal CSD, this survey will be conducted as follows:
- Secondary Students at Vestal Middle and High Schools will take the survey online during the school day. This will occur sometime between November 15 - 23, 2021.
- Families of Elementary Students in grades K - 5 will receive paper versions of the survey in their Friday (take-home) Folders. Families are asked to complete this survey and return it to the school. The timeline for distributing the paper surveys is still being determined.
