Summer Reading Programs

100-Book Challenge

All Clayton Avenue Elementary students are invited to participate in this program which challenges children to read 100 books or 1,000 minutes during the summer. Children who sign up for the 100 Book Challenge will receive a bag of books and a reading log to record the number of books or minutes that they read over the summer. They can read books from any source, but they are welcome to borrow books from Clayton Avenue throughout the summer from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday! If your child takes the challenge, materials will be sent home the week of June 17th. Home delivery is available for families who cannot come to the school to exchange books.

A sign-up sheet for the 100-Book Challenge is being sent home with students in their Friday Folders on June 7, 2019. We hope you will encourage your student to take the challenge and read this summer!
