African Road sets the table for annual Taste of ARE!
African Road Elementary hosted its annual "Taste of ARE" cultural event on November 14, 2023. Students and their families could "travel" to many different countries, learning about their cultures and enjoying wonderful foods from around the world.
Approximately, 29 families and staff represented 20 different countries, including India, Ireland, Colombia, Ghana, Poland, Scotland, Russia, Japan, Tunisia, France, Ethiopia, Denmark, Italy, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Rwanda, South Korea, Iceland, and more. Special guests this year were VHS students representing Diversity Club and Mrs. AitOumessaoud, representing French Club.
Many thank to all the families, staff, and other community members who participated, bringing treasured cultural items to display, cooking traditional foods of the countries they represented, and even wearing authentic dress.
