Last night, Vestal High School administration was made aware of a potential concern. We would like you to know that we took immediate action, activating the Emergency Response Team and collaborating with the Vestal Police Department for additional supervision this morning, November 7. Please note that the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
This
concern has been investigated by Vestal High School personnel, District
administration and the Vestal Police Department, and it was determined that
there was no imminent safety concern. However, as a precaution, we did bring in
additional resources in the form of security from our SROs and support from
District staff.
The District actively works to maintain a safe and secure environment for all of our students and staff, and we appreciate the concern of our Vestal community. We ask for your support in directing any concerns that you may have regarding this specific incident directly to the Vestal High School Principal’s Office, and any general concerns to the Vestal Superintendent’s Office. If there are any updates, we will share them with our Vestal High School families and staff.
